After having organized the first symposium of philosophy of chemistry in France in July 2017, this time it is to propose an unprecedented colloquium, at the international level, in which two communities that work separately, namely the community of philosophers of chemistry and that of the philosophers of biology, will meet to discuss in the presence of many chemists, biologists, ecologists, toxicologists and ecotoxicologists, recent developments of the two disciplines and their consequences in scientific, ethical, epistemological, philosophical, sociological and anthropological terms. . See the project description below.

We also gratefully acknowledge the intellectual support of:

  • The CNRS in the framework of the celebration of its eightieth year of existence.
  • The International Society for the Philosophy of Chemistry.
  • The Cercle des Philosophes de la nature, supervisé par Miguel Espinoza
